By accessing or using RPG Game Tools at rpg-game.tools ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
RPG Game Tools provides character build planning tools for RPG video games. The Service operates on a freemium model:
- Free accounts may use the full planner UI, all data, calculators, and the auto-advice engine. Free accounts may save 1 build to the cloud, see ads, and create shareable links.
- Premium accounts ($3.99/month or $29.99/year) unlock unlimited saved builds, an ad-free experience, side-by-side build comparison, build export, a Discord supporter role, and early access to data updates.
- Lifetime accounts ($69 one-time, capped at the first 100 supporters) unlock all Premium features permanently, plus a Founders badge displayed on shared builds.
The Service is provided free of charge for basic use. We reserve the right to change features, pricing, or availability at any time with reasonable notice.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your username and password.
- You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of third parties.
- Notify us immediately at contact@rpg-game.tools if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service at a rate that disrupts normal operation.
- Upload or transmit malicious code or content.
- Impersonate any person or entity.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.
4. Your Content
Build data you save to your account remains yours. You grant us a limited license to store and serve it to you. We make no claim of ownership over your builds.
You may export your builds at any time using the Export button. Account deletion will permanently remove all saved builds.
5. Payments and Subscriptions
- Premium subscriptions are available as monthly ($3.99/mo) or annual ($29.99/yr) plans, billed in advance and renewing automatically until cancelled.
- Lifetime accounts are a single-payment purchase ($69, limited to 100 supporters) that grants Premium access for the lifetime of the Service.
- Donations and tips are voluntary, one-time, and non-refundable.
- Cancellation: You may cancel a subscription at any time through the "Manage Subscription" portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; access continues until then.
- Refunds: Monthly and annual subscriptions are eligible for a refund within 7 days of the most recent charge if you have not made substantial use of premium features. Lifetime purchases are eligible for a refund within 30 days of purchase, after which they are non-refundable. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
- Failed payments: If a renewal payment fails, your account will retry automatically. After 3 failed attempts, the account will downgrade to Free until payment is restored. Saved builds beyond the Free tier limit are preserved (read-only) but cannot be modified until the account is restored.
- Price changes: Existing subscribers will be notified of any price increase at least 30 days before the next billing cycle, with the option to cancel before the new price applies.
- All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as our Merchant of Record, who handles applicable sales tax and VAT for your jurisdiction. See Lemon Squeezy's Terms for payment-related terms.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding user build data and game data owned by respective publishers) are the property of RPG Game Tools. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the Service without permission.
Game data (item names, stats, mechanics) belongs to the respective game publishers and is used here under fair use for informational/fan-tool purposes.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT GAME DATA IS ACCURATE OR CURRENT. GAME MECHANICS MAY CHANGE WITH UPDATES; ALWAYS VERIFY IMPORTANT DATA IN-GAME.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RPG Game Tools shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is based, without regard to conflict of law principles.
